Re: GUI interface for the new write enabled software

yes of course, but since the writing support as a nice bonus, it is easy for me to write ADF/IPF back to floppies on the PC using KF, and then inserting those floppies in my real Amigas And for the backup part, some floppies require a lot of retries before all tracks are read OK. It is just so time ...

Re: GUI interface for the new write enabled software

still not ready I guess? ;) Make sure to have a feature in there that is a life saver when dealing with dodgy disks: when a verify error occurs during writing, and when the whole write operation is over, be able to just retry the bad sectors for a rewrite. Often old disks need a little scrub before ...

Kryoflux 2x3,5 in ext SCSI case

removed all SCSI related items, and noticed this unused SCSI housing had an Enermax PSU inside, cool. Now working flawless. Has 2 different drives in it (MITSUMI D359M3 with max 83 tracks and MITSUMI D359T5 with max 84 tracks) in case some floppies behave differently depending on hardware. kryoflux....

Re: KryoFlux - Write support is here and coming to you!

I must have overlooked that paragraph, I do not yet have generated an ipf (only got adf's and my own disksqueeze format) but will do that shortly.
Other Q regarding diskdrives: can you connect an Amiga compatible drive to a Kryoflux board? Will it not fry something if I try?

Re: KryoFlux - Write support is here and coming to you!

I do use v2.0b3 but I could not find any write commands in the syntax (nor in the GUI), and yes, I looked hard enough :?
Can someone explain then how to write a floppy (command line example or so)? :?:

Re: KryoFlux - Write support is here and coming to you!

Just received my Kryoflux 2 days ago, and while eagerly awaiting the public release of the seminal write support, so I can try this on my A500 & A4000 (latter has 2xHDD C= floppy) and a few external 3,5" drives (incl. original A1010!), are there any brands/models to avoid for write support ? Here at...

Re: Drives confirmed working with KryoFlux

got some drives from old machines at my workplace to test now that I receive the kryoflux device and have been playing around with it for some hours, great piece of hardware :) For each test I did a calibration test and read an 880KB Amiga floppy as a test to make sure it did actually work. ALPS DF3...
