Re: Disk/Game request thread??

I must not be stating my issue properly. (Although I do appreciate the sarcastic comments.. ) Here is an idea: find the game,. That is the part I was hoping to find a process for... There's a ticketing system at softpres.org you can use for this. Ah... So there is a process... Thanx... I'm not...

Re: Disk/Game request thread??

I totally understand... And raw writing won't help me yet, as I don't have a working original to work from... Part of the "pitch" so to speak, for this was to be able to repair original floppies. Which I have already done once and it's awesome. I'm not complaining at all... But I imagine that I won'...

Disk/Game request thread??

OK, not sure if this is realistic or how it should be handled, but as it will probably come up more and more now that there is write support... How could/should we handle requests for disks (from other people here or whomever??) with images that aren't yet in SPS?? For instance, I just picked up my ...

Re: Use as normal A: drive

But if you're talking about cd-daemon style software emulation of a floppy drive, most (all?) emulators can already do this. Most (all?) emulators do this already, you're correct. If he is asking about something in Windows, perhaps something like this: http://vfd.sourceforge.net/ I haven't tried it...

Re: Drives confirmed working with KryoFlux

Heads up. My ALPS drive, which seemed to work with my limited testing, failed to write SuperHang-On and get it to boot. Swapping the drive for an Epson SMD-300 and writing to the same floppy with the same IPF works fine. So that ALPS I would list as a badly working drive. (Well, it worked for creati...

Re: KryoFlux - Write support is here and coming to you!

OK, just tried it with SuperHang-On. Same result. The disk I created doesn't boot. **(Update below.. It works now) I used a new unused 3.5" DD floppy. I'm thinking either it doesn't like my drive or there's something wrong with the IPF I used. Admittedly, I got it from the the CAPSDI pack, #32 - Sup...

Re: KryoFlux - Write support is here and coming to you!

The tech heads (and I mean that in the best way possible) will probably be asking for more information from the logs and what is exactly not working. My first question would be, are you writing it back to the original disk? Have you tried other floppies, just in case the disk is physically damaged. ...

Re: KryoFlux - Write support is here and coming to you!

Tested write support with the included LethalXcess IPFs and my ALPs drive.
Worked great (as far as I can tell.. I am really bad at shooters, but I died as quickly as I usually do, so it seems perfect :-) !!)!!

Thanx,

Re: Use as normal A: drive

Kryoflux is really for imaging.
If you really need an internal drive, something like this maybe?

Not saying it can't be done, but I'm not sure it's worth the effort.
