Re: KryoFlux Track Data Visualisation

Thanks for implementing this feature! :D

I had thought it might be available only to Analyser software users.

Re: 2.88 Mb floppy support?

Hi Prowler; Thanks for the info, I will try to get a real 2.88Mb drive and try again. Best regards, kreutz Hi kreutz, Good luck with that. If you manage to get one, you might find the information on these pages useful in interfacing it with the floppy controller of your PC: http://www.dslreports.co...

Re: Drives confirmed working with KryoFlux

Yes, that could well be the problem! :) Naturally, I used the standard firmware (checksum 0xEAC608DC) included in the Beta 10r3 archive. (Hey, I've just noticed there's a faster firmware in that archive too! ) It's just as well I downloaded the slow and slow v2 firmware releases when I fir...

Hmm...

Mine is an FD-235HF 4240, and the HA (Intelligent mode Sensing disk type) and DS1 (Drive Select 1) jumpers are set, but when I run the DTC with the -c2 option, all I get is the error message "Control command rejected by the device". :?

Re: 2.88 Mb floppy support?

I'm sure that you won't be able to read them in any PC HD floppy drive. The problem is that the density sensing hole on the IBM 2.88MB ED floppies I have is about 6mm nearer the shutter, so that they are simply detected as 720KB DD floppies when inserted in a 1.44MB floppy drive. The IBM PS/2 2.88MB...

Re: 2.88 Mb floppy support?

Is there support for 2.88 Mb floppy drives/media? It would be nice if I could save images of the MF-2ED floppies I have. Thank you for the great work!! Hi kreuz, Do you have a PC-compatible ED floppy drive, or is it an IBM PS/2 drive. I have a pack of 10 new ED floppy disks and a PS/2 2.88MB floppy...

Re: Re-reading bad sector disks?

I have a couple of Amiga disks, each with a single sector checksum error, which I would like to make valid images of. The sectors in question are flaky and give different data on each read. I have tried using the -t999 option while limiting the start and end track for both disks to that which includ...

Re: Connecting the Kryoflux to Pwer

Yes, it's powered by the USB connection. However, the floppy drive will require its own separate power supply connection.
