Re: Dumping and Emulation Issue

David beat me to it. I tend to remove the dumps from Dropbox after a time. Please let us know if it works on a real machine!

Re: Dumping Help

So, I figured out a (way too weird) way to install it. I converted the PSI to TD0. I started up 86Box and created a new HD with DOS 3.3. I then put the TD0 into Floppy 1. To install the program, it's really non-intuitive. You cannot use Install (yeah, I know). According to the docs, you go to C prom...

Re: Dumping Help

OK, so the track 0 is the copy protection. Given that, it appears that it won't run Boom.exe, which is what is required to run the game. Like I said, it actually appears to install the game, but doesn't appear to work correctly. One of the interesting things in the documentation is that it states to...

Re: Dumping Help

This is fascinating, so it appears that my disk was dumped correctly. How would you suggest I include the Track 40 in my PSI? Or is this non-emulatable at this time?

Dumping Help

Hi again all! This time, it's Visions of Aftermath, a Mindscape game. The dump "appears" fine to dtc except for track 0, side 0. I can create a psi file of this dump as well, however, the psi file acts strangely. I can insert it in PCE, install the game on the virtual hd, but it doesn't ru...

Re: Dumping and Emulation Issue

Got 86Box to work. I had to convert the psi to td0. Once I did that, I created my PCJr machine properly and started it up. It seems to work perfectly. For those that haven't checked it out, it's pretty cool. I was used to the C64 version.

Re: Dumping and Emulation Issue

Very interesting! I know that there is a broken copy out there that works on DosBox, so I wasn't sure about mine. According to this site (https://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?t=50664&start=40) the disk won't work at all on any CGA/EGA, etc. past the title (which is what happens on my dump), so m...

Dumping and Emulation Issue

OK, so I think I've finally got this down properly. I just dumped my first early game, Ghostbusters, for the PCJr. from original disk. I dumped it and converted to PSI since I see what looks like protection on the last track. The disk is one sided, 180K and boots automatically. It was made for 128K ...

Please Help Again re Weak Bits

I have an original dump of the NTSC copy of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom for Commodore 64. It appears, according to c64preservation.com, that it has a "weak bits" protection. According to https://forum.kryoflux.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1231 , I should be able to hex edit the G6...
