Re: RAW file reader / Maybe converter to ADF?

Might be annoying, but most annoying is when you get 10 good sectors, 1 bad sector ... and then on the next retry you get 6 good sectors, and 5 bad sectors. In a way, the good sectors just be inserted into the RAW / ADF file as it finds them. I know some Amiga programs do this... DiskRipper ... it w...

Re: can Kryoflux opensource DTC (windows and linux)

Thats at least encouraging about potential future versions. If you have a contact in the devs, I'd like to reach out to discuss some of the issues / ideas I've had. Not to pester them or ask for previews / deadlines etc ... but to give my honest feedback and problems / thoughts I've had. I understan...

can Kryoflux opensource DTC (windows and linux)

I have some issues with the way DTC works. I've posted about this in the forums. i've emailed SPS was redirected to here. i've emailed support here, and a named person I was in contact earlier in the year when I was looking to buy a kryoflux. But I receive deadly silence. For the most part of Kryofl...

Re: RAW file reader / Maybe converter to ADF?

Think it depends on batches of disks / conditions for me. I like preservation format, but I loose the ability to check if the tracks are good as I rip them. My main go to, if disks are in a semi good condition ... is a -i0a -i5 -t1 -tc1 -r2 -- get me a quick / dirtyish dump as quick as I can. After ...

RAW file reader / Maybe converter to ADF?

So ... one of my gripes at the moment when I rip -i0 -i5 for example ... raw file, with ADF format guiding... it reports errors, and when combined with -t for retries you can end up with a raw track worse than when you started. 51.1 : AmigaDOS: <error>, trk: 103, sec: 11, bad: 1 51.1 : AmigaDOS: <er...

Re: Bad Track / Recording Good Tracks

Ok, think i can appreciate the its not designed to work by sector... trying to come up with ideas... Not sure how to best tackle which it knows there was bad:1, and a bad:2, more data is better than worse data. Will have a think about this. Working by sector would really help out. Do you have any id...

Bad Track / Recording Good Tracks

Hi, I usually end up capturing my Amiga ADF tracks with -i0 -i5 ... so I can repair any faulty raw tracks at a later date. In one example I noticed this : 81.1 : AmigaDOS: <error>, trk: 163, sec: 11, bad: 1 81.1 : Bad sector found 81.1 : AmigaDOS: <error>, trk: 163, sec: 11, bad: 2 81.1 : Bad sector...

Re: Req: Be able to select which side of disk to capture

Yeah I kind of understand.

I'd still like to use -0a -i5 or -i0a -i5 with -g switch. Format guided usually lets me capture stuff that seems to get missed with just -0 ...this is why I try several methods.

This would be really useful in my use of the kryoflux.

Re: Hard sectored support on Linux

I remember one of my linux friends also complaining about version differences. Would be nice to make the two systems match in features. I know its not much help, but if you have wine, I believe he uses that to run some options against raw files.
