Why is there a limit on retry counts?

When using the Java GUI, I can send "-t99" for AmigaDOS sector image just fine. However, trying to increase this to anything over "-t100" fails with the error message "Invalid retry count". Why isn't it possible to set the retry count to 999 or so? Experience has shown that after several hundred ret...

Re: Does format guiding really work for CT raw image?

Addendum: I have set "-t99" for AmigaDOS sector image if that is of any signifance. Could this mean that it only retries 99 times for AmigaDOS sector image and uses the default of 5 retries for CT raw image? That could explain why the CT raw image is sometimes broken even though all tracks were green.

Re: Selected floppy disk image is damaged or unformatted

Has the disk been dumped with AmigaDOS as a guide format? Do you see any errors reported? Yes, I selected <Multiple> and the Kryoflux stream files, preservation + CT raw image + AmigaDOS sector image. And all tracks were green. Only track 80 and 81 were grey but that's normal I guess. The real scar...

Does format guiding really work for CT raw image?

I have experienced some suspicious behaviour when dumping disks using the Java GUI. I select <Multiple> as the output format and then I select all of the following items: 1) Kryoflux stream files, preservation 2) CT raw image 3) AmigaDOS sector image The suspicious behaviour I noticed is this: When ...

Re: Which format should I use?

Thanks. So this means when using the Java GUI I should select <Multiple> and then select the following three options: 1) Kryoflux stream files, preservation (for submitting files to SPS) 2) CT raw image (for playing copy-protected games in WinUAE) 3) AmigaDOS sector image (to get error correction in...

Re: Errors when using CT raw or Kryoflux stream files mode

'bump*

Is nobody using the Java GUI here or why is this so difficult to answer? Or are you telling me to RTFM? But I did that already and there's no answer to my question in the doc...

Selected floppy disk image is damaged or unformatted

I'm trying to dump some copy protected Amiga games and this generally works fine when using CT raw images. The games boot just fine in WinUAE. There's one game, however, which doesn't work. WinUAE says "The selected floppy disk image is damaged or unformatted" when trying to boot the CT raw image. T...

Re: Errors when using CT raw or Kryoflux stream files mode

Since nobody is replying to me I decided to do some Googling and found this ;-) But I still don't completely understand. From my understanding of the post above, combining "Kryoflux stream files, format guided" and "Kryoflux stream files, preservation" doesn't make any sense (although the GUI allows...
