Re: Using Kyroflux to copy old DOS disks to new floppies

I will assume that "flakey" means disks that are not index aligned such as the disks that I created many years ago using an Apple DISKII. I have used the technique of creating a .raw stream dump then using WildeWutz to write onto an empty diskette. But when I read the new diskette using the Kryoflux...

Re: Using Kyroflux to copy old DOS disks to new floppies

That worked for you? Really? It only once worked for me and I think that occasion was pure accident. Please elaborate. Please tell me, especially, what method you use for verifying your newly-created disks.

Re: I need help using DTC for writing to a DOS 3.3 floppy

I appreciate the Python recommendation. I downloaded and installed it. Upon reading the documentation, I was so intimidated that I crawled into a corner and assumed a fetal position. This looks pretty challenging. I will maybe dig further into Python at some later date. In any case, I have a result ...

I have seen the message "no disk" displayed just once. It was when kryoflux-ui.jar ...

Re: I need help using DTC for writing to a DOS 3.3 floppy

I have made one small step forward. DTC is now able to write something onto diskettes. But there are still discoveries to be made and questions to be asked. I had misinterpreted the information in the KryoFlux manual. My initial understanding was that information was meant to go between the < and > ...

I need help using DTC for writing to a DOS 3.3 floppy

I have been using my Kryoflux-modified MITSUMI D509V5 floppy disc drive, revision D controller card, and Kryoflux-ur.jar for reading my collection of Apple II DOS 3.3 floppies for about a year. This has worked wonderfully for me, thank you. Now I want to make floppies from my 140KB.dsk files for sen...
