Re: Formats supported and protections

So you can just override the maxtrack setting in the GUI and set it manually. Would assume it's 42 tracks or similar. Still cant get it to work with in the GUI sorry. Tried "juggling" the settings for a couple of days now, but it keeps stopping at the first track in GUI mode and report it as "ok bu...

Re: Formats supported and protections

Couldnt get it to calibrate in with either Command prompt or UI with v2.
Did try with the UI and it failed.

Never did try to dump in command prompt after failed calibration .. but I just tried and it works :)

Re: Formats supported and protections

I got this pc a few month back but didnt get around to set up my Kryoflux for untill last week so tried the v2 software first as i recall having this issue on the old pc as well. Tried the slow (default) firmware and the fast one as well with my old rev 2 board. and it keeps giving me the error "com...

Re: Formats supported and protections

Yup, Kryoflux does indeed support Amstrad CPC 3" drives. Alas it does seem that direct connection of a FD1/DDI drive was "lost in translation" when they upgraded from v1 of the software to v2. So if you want a easy time with FD1/DDI drives youll need something like software v1.0 b10 r4 (i think was ...

Re: Missing Index Error

Another Amstrad user here too (i also use 3" DF1-drive with Kryoflux) :D I was thinking the same thing: it would be nice if there was a easy way to convert MFM to normal DSK for Amstrad/Spectrum+ users. Not only for emulator use but also as a safe way to backup your old data discs (as you can write/...

Re: Amstrad 3" disks

Indeed, it can be a bit hard finding "untouched" 3" originals. A quite common pratice in the early years was simply to buy like 1000 empty Amsoft 3" discs (original clean ones) and simply manually copy from a "workdisc". Empty Amsoft discs had quite a good rep as "quality" discs. Then mom could use ...

Re: Problem reading .d64 format

Thanks both for the feedback. Yeah, its a bit odd that the first track reads ok, but the rest are "unformatted" grey because the floppy fully formatted and full of data (i tried several but got the exact same output). Logically i should get at least some kinda "wrong track" or "data error" and not "...

Using a Teac 5.25" 400k FD-55BR 102-U, 42 track drive. Any ideas?

Re: Drives confirmed working with KryoFlux
