Re: Drives confirmed working with KryoFlux
My MPF920-L only steps up to track 81, so yeah, it must have changed with some revision.

Re: How to extract files from 360k PC diskette image file
I think DOSBox-X and the SVN builds of DOSBox actually support these.

Re: PSU fuse blew, possible reasons?
Thanks. I really wonder how it happened
Ah well, lets just hope the KF is OK.
Can't find any metal enclosed ones. Would something like this do for now? Anything specific that's needed?

PSU fuse blew, possible reasons?
Today I finally wanted to tackle my next stack of floppies. I hooked up everything as usual, but when I toggled the switch on the PSU ("official" PSU provided with the KF), there was a pop sound and smoke came from the PSU (near the LED). I assume the fuse blew. However, as I didn't do any...

Re: Cannot read MFM img file from within Dosbox
Unless they have fixed it in more recent versions, DOSbox is really, really brain-dead about directly mounting images. I always have to manually feed Imgmount the exact disk geometry with the -size option. See this insanely long page on how to use that: http://www.dosbox.com/wiki/IMGMOUNT That's si...

Re: Cannot read MFM img file from within Dosbox
Are you sure you are using the proper mount command in DOSBox? Best to give it a try with a known good image file (plenty of the internet) first. Command should be:
Code: Select all
imgmount A c:\yourimagefilepath\image.img -t floppy

Re: COMMAND LINE FOR MS-DOS 5.25 FLOPPY
I would recommend to use the GUI instead and save special profiles for the different kind of IBM 5.25 disks. Easiest way to do that is to edit the image-profiles.xml file, which can be found in C:\Users\{YourUsername}\.kryoflux on Windows systems. Add any of the following (before the last line!) to ...

Re: Thinking to buy, but have questions on writing floppies from disk images
Yes, those are indeed great news :) The short term inconvenience I'm certain isn't a problem for anyone, but maybe it would be a good idea to sticky information like that somewhere. I know you would never set a release schedule for such features and tools (neither would I!). But that's not needed. J...
