Re: Installing KryoFlux in Windows 8 / 10

Just noticed the usual fallacy with bootcamp... Mr.Vince, when you use bootcamp you have a normal Windows with normal access to the hardware. All bootcamp does is prepare the hard drive, hardware drivers and the software that enables touchpad, boot menu. There is nothing emulated, especially in rega...

Re: Installing KryoFlux in Windows 8 / 10

I think the hub thing wasn't the culprit. I'd have to try but probably still the only thing that matters is the steps in the Windows VM ;(
(My hub is a 7port USB3 hub in industrial sturdy metal design. I think no special brand

Re: 3D printed Dual Drive Box

Thanks for explaining, I really wanted to know why and potentially warn you if it were harmful. As you actually understand schematics and I don't I'm glad I brought it up. Now I learnt more about the KryoFlux :)

Re: 3D printed Dual Drive Box

So does it actually power the kryo? Because from the manul it shouldn't (6) Berg power connector to power a drive – or two with y-cable – via the board: You must use standard Berg connectors (also – incor- rectly – referred to as Molex mini) to connect the drive to the board. On the picture above, +...

Re: 3D printed Dual Drive Box

Hmm, from the manual it looks to me as if the proper wqy to power the board would be the molex in the middle of the board. And as I understood, no need for extra power UNLESS you want to power a drive via the board and that is not recommended.

Re: 3D printed Dual Drive Box

Both cases are very nice. And great detailed instructions o the smaller case. What I don't understand about the small box is that you even connect the KryoFlux' "Floppy disk drive connector" (next to the usb connector) to the power. What is the purpose of this? Isn't that potentially harmful? The fl...

Re: Mac: USB endpoint not found

Funnily... when I run my Windows 10 VM and then have it connect to the Atmel Modem USB device I suddenly have a working Kryoflux again in OS X, until I disconnect the USB again... So in the VM I have the bossa device, change the drivers to Kryoflux and run dtc -c2 in the VM. This changes the Atmel M...

Re: Installing KryoFlux in Windows 8 / 10

I also have Mojave and I couldn't make it work on it. But I have it working on both bootcamp. Steps of what I did in bootcamp: - right click on "KyroFlux USB driver.inf" (in the driver subfolder of the Windows package) and chose to install the driver - Open the Device Manager and then clcik on menu ...

Re: Mac: USB endpoint not found

yes, I'm running into the same problem. It shows as an Atmel communication device. I have no idea how to stop MacOS from doing that
