Re: C64 format info

This is far from complete and also contains some errors. A lot of details also missing. If you have better information, please just let me know. I don't have the time to check every title or submission extensively. Why do you think I am asking for it here, where I know someone have technical detail...

Re: C64 format info

But since you already have included a lot of support for this in dtc already, wouldn't it be possible to share the info that the decoders in dtc is based on at least? It feels like it shouldn't be necessary to re-invent the wheel by redoing the work already done...

C64 format info

So, I'm reviving this topic again... I am currently coding my own tool to deal with disks, and while I fully accept and support dtc being closed source, I was wondering if whoever added the various protection schemes would mind sharing the info about them? (How to decode if non-standard encoding, st...

Re: G64 Extended format

I was wondering if I could ask a follow up question to this... exactly how is the bitcell size determined when dtc creates G64-files? Also, could I have a list of what the various values in Format code and Format extension represents? :) Edit: So far I've drawn the following conclusions, and hoping ...

Re: Problems wih IPFs written back to disk on Amiga 500

I too experienced problems when reusing disks when writing back IPFs or ADFs, but as mentioned above, wiping with a magnet could be worth trying. That solved the problem for me.

Re: The CYAN loader

I have since talked to Jani who did some more extensive research on the loader, and all the details given is actually lining up with all the info I got from David, and the fact that Thunder Blade is mentioned, and also is confirmed using that loader, there's no doubt in my mind, at least :)

Re: The CYAN loader

I also checked c64preservation for titles including "Thunder" and that seemed to be a helicopter game, and Thunderblade does indeed seem to contain the "CYAN"-loader. So this loader might be Promat 64 as David suggests, then. :)

The CYAN loader

I've just been in touch with someone who claims he wrote this loader, and if we're talking about the same loader it's also used on Who Dares Wins II from Alligata. Is anyone able to confirm that this one has the early CYAN loader? If it is, the real name of this loader is apparently Promat 64, and w...
