Re: Imaging 100TPI 77 track Exidy Sorcerer disks on a Micropolis 100TPI

Thanks.
Do you think that user defined (probably much slower) signal and delay timings would help here?

Re: Microstepping support for 100tpi disks: update: now with actual feature request

I see...
Probably there is a track limit on the format definition selected - what has been changed is the hard limit DTC is allowed to use.

Just a quick update: It's mostly done, however it is a big change in general, and I am also considering adding something else...

Re: 3,400+ 8bit games - preserved!

Yes, of course. There are two parts to the answer: 1, Contributors already have their images and can use them - as they submitted them in the first place. Unlike the CTRaw images originally, stream files can be used by contributors converting via DTC. By now many emulators can run CTR images as well...

Re: Three State Magnetization Pattern on Floppy

As a side note, for floppy disks we are talking about microsecond distances between flux reversals, although KryoFlux indeed (over)samples them in nanosecond resolution. ns resolution is used by some FDCs and mastering devices for precompensation, but the encoding itself is in the microsecond range ...

Re: Real and Imaginary Disk Editor

However I was thinking about having a library with full KryoFlux board control eventually - but there is no ETA, given it depends on having other software ready first with much higher priori...

It will be released soon, probably in a week or two as this work has other dependencies on our side.

Thanks.

Re: Dungeon Master for Atari ST disk image produced by dtc.exe

Thanks, really useful! In addition to what you wrote, I am positive I saw one ST utility that used deterministic weak bits, as well as PC. They however used a different pattern. Maybe it was Tiger Cub or Cubase? Unfortunately they are only available as CTRaw dumps, so the exact cell timings used to ...

Re: Dungeon Master for Atari ST disk image produced by dtc.exe

Am I correct in saying that you have submitted all known versions of DM and CSB?
Or have you obtained even more since...? :)
